A real eye-opener: it can also be done without fake lashes

Ein echter Augenöffner: Es geht auch ohne Fake Lashes

It's one of those things with beauty trends: I'd like to follow them all, but it doesn't work for some of them. For example fake lashes. I just can't get it! Gluing false eyelashes on myself is a total disaster for me, it gets crooked, everything is full of eyelash glue. Fake lashes are a dream when applied by a professional - but only for a short time until they fall out along with the real eyelashes. And going to the beautician every few weeks costs time and money - both of which are not always available in sufficient quantities. My personal conclusion about fake lashes is: Just forget it! But that doesn't necessarily mean that the dream of beautiful eyelashes is over.

Longer, thicker and darker eyelashes – you can achieve this effect with an eyelash serum, for example. You do have to be a little patient, as the serums, regardless of the manufacturer, only develop their full effect after around six to eight weeks, but the wait is worth it. For me the result is so good that I discover completely new qualities in my eyelashes. Namely, the use of an eyelash curler is completely sufficient for subtle daytime make-up. I think this is great, especially now during the holiday season!

Speaking of eyelash curlers: this is a must-have! Shaping your eyelashes only takes a few seconds, but the effect is enormous. They automatically work (even) longer and the eye is more open. If you want to give your eyelash curler an extra boost, warm it up with a hairdryer before using it (be a little careful because the metal gets hot quickly). This enhances the effect and gives the eyelashes a nice curl all day long.

The ultimate secret weapon for getting an exciting look even without fake lashes is the right mascara. There are now a number of products with a fake lashes effect that visually add length and/or volume. Apply the mascara directly from the base of your eyelashes in zigzag movements, then your eyelashes will appear nice and voluminous and won't stick together to form unsightly fly legs. By the way, the shape of the eyelash brush has a huge influence on the result: large brushes with long bristles give volume and more length, curved brushes provide a lot of curl and narrow, slightly roughened bristles apply a lot of color to the eyelashes, making them even darker works.
