Hair care routine in the transition from summer to autumn

The transition from warm summer time to cooler autumn days poses new challenges not only for our skin but also for our hair. While sun, salt, and chlorinated water have caused stress in recent months, dry heating air, wind, and weather now additionally strain the hair structure. With a targeted hair care routine, damage can be prevented and the hair optimally prepared for the autumn season.

Remove residues from the summer

After summer, thorough cleansing is especially important. Residues of chlorine, salt, or styling products can burden the hair structure and make the hair appear dull. A deep-cleansing shampoo removes deposits and creates the ideal base for subsequent care products.

Moisture as key care

In autumn, hair often suffers from dryness – both due to cooler outdoor temperatures and dry heating air. Moisturizing shampoos, conditioners, and hair masks are now indispensable. Ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, Aloe Vera or panthenol help restore the moisture balance.

Reconstructive care for stressed hair lengths

The hair structure damaged by sun and UV rays now requires targeted reconstructive care. Products with keratin, proteins, or plant oils repair small cracks in the cuticle layer and strengthen the hair from within. A weekly intensive treatment supports regeneration.

Don't forget the scalp

A healthy scalp is the basis for strong hair growth. Especially during the transition period, it can react irritated due to temperature differences and dry air. Mild scalp peeling or special serums promote blood circulation, remove dead skin flakes, and supply the scalp with important nutrients.

Protection from wind and cold

Even if the sun shines less intensely, environmental influences remain a strain. Wind and cold can make hair brittle and promote split ends. A light leave-in conditioner or a nourishing hair oil forms a protective film around the hair and prevents moisture loss.

Styling with care

Especially in autumn, hair tends to frizz more due to dry air. Heat styling should therefore be reduced and always done with heat protection. Instead, gentle hairstyles like braids or buns are suitable to additionally protect the hair from external influences.
